Hi! I’m Megan.

I love ice skating, swimming, deep friendships, traveling, wildness, fashion, and parties. I live in Portland with my partner, Christopher, and our two children, Henry and Louisa.

I started Field in the summer of 2013. At that time, I was a new parent and teaching reading/writing at Portland Adult Education, but yearning for a shake-up. One morning, I was watering my little city flower garden and had an epiphany that flowers could be my living, creatively and financially. I had a background in printmaking and other crafts, so my experience in art- color palettes and compositions, etc. translated easily to the medium of flowers. I started taking orders for local delivery and booking wedding clients immediately. Portland was fertile ground for both the ethos of sustainable floral practices as well as a new wave of floral design.

Each year of business I settle more into a mastery of floristry while growing into new phases, like event design and production. My love of people and their life moments, flowers as art, new ideas, and next-level hard work remain consistent.
