ALL the Spring flowers for this May Wedding in Maine
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you love flowers, get married in the SPRING. Cici and Alex wanted their florals, in a perfect creamy palette with accents of lavender and actual lilac, to be a major part of their wedding design, so having their wedding in late May really brought so many magical, ethereal flowers to the table.
Very precious materials like those fully flowered dogwood branches, the soloman’s seal, and that creamy honeysuckle were gathered for her bouquet the morning of the wedding.
So many all-time-greats were worked into the centerpieces and bud vases throughout the barn, all Maine grown (!) sweet pea, lilac, anemone, ranunculus, double tulip, peony and more.
Also, for full effect dreaminess, have your florist tether beautiful shapely trees to your barn posts or tent poles and hang real candles in glass votives from them.
